The $FIRE token
$FIRE is the deflationary token behind Watchfire. Supply, fees, burning, and how players earn RON rewards.
$FIRE is the token that powers Watchfire. You spend it to play, every action burns a little of it, and a slice of all trading flows back to players as rewards.
Supply
- Total supply: 10,000,000 $FIRE.
- Decimals: 18.
- Fully minted up front. There is no inflation; supply only goes down as the game burns it.
What $FIRE is for
Inside the game, $FIRE is the cost of keeping a fire alive and moving fast:
- Stoking the fire (about a dollar's worth).
- Reviving the embers after going dark (more, scaling with village size).
- Speeding up a gather or chop (about a dollar's worth).
The in-game prices are tuned to roughly a dollar per action and can be adjusted by the owner over time.
Deflation
Every $FIRE spent in the game is burned. Stoking, reviving, and speeding up all permanently remove tokens from supply. The more the game is played, the more $FIRE is taken out of circulation.
Fees and rewards
There is a 5% fee on $FIRE buys and sells, split three ways:
- 3% to players as rewards (paid in RON, the native coin on Ronin).
- 1% to liquidity for the $FIRE pool.
- 1% to the team.
Rewards
The 3% player share is distributed by village score. Your reward is your village's score as a fraction of all villages' combined score, so a bigger, healthier village earns a bigger cut of every trade.
Rewards accrue continuously as trades happen, but you do not hold them until you redeem. Redeeming pays out your accumulated RON and resets your village to zero, which also removes its score from the pool. It is both your payout and a clean way to step away.
Your rewards are not tied to the village surviving. If a village is razed after letting its fire go dark, any accrued RON is sent back to your wallet automatically as part of the raze — you lose the village, not the earnings. Redeeming is simply the deliberate version of the same payout.
Note
$FIRE in-game costs (stoke, speed-up, revive) are tuned to about a dollar per action and can change over time. The supply, the 5% trade fee, and the 3 / 1 / 1 split are fixed. Reward currency is RON, the native coin on Ronin.
