Watchfire

FAQ

Short answers to the questions keepers ask first. Each one links to the longer page.

What is Watchfire?

An on-chain village game. You keep one village, and it lives or dies by a single fire. Stoke that fire every 3 days, or the village goes dark.

More in What is Watchfire.

How often do I have to stoke the fire?

Once every 3 days. Each stoke costs 3 wood and a small amount of $FIRE.

See Stoking the fire.

What happens if I miss a stoke?

The fire burns down to embers on its own. You then have 7 days from your last stoke to relight it. Miss that window and the village goes dark.

See Stoking the fire.

What is $FIRE?

$FIRE is the deflationary token behind Watchfire. 10,000,000 are minted per chain. Stoking, relighting, and speed-ups burn it. A 5% fee on buys and sells is split 3% to players, 1% to liquidity, 1% to the team.

See The $FIRE token.

Do I need a crypto wallet to play?

No. You can sign in with a social account and play in the browser. An external wallet works too if you already have one.

See Getting started.

Which chain does Watchfire run on?

Ronin and Base. Each chain is its own world with its own $FIRE. Nothing bridges between them. You pick a chain when you sign in.

See On-chain.

Are villages tradable?

No. Each village is a soulbound NFT, one per wallet per chain. Wood and food are soulbound too; neighbors can still raid them.

See Resource tokens.
