Watchfire

Gas Account

A session wallet your main wallet authorizes to sign Watchfire's free actions, with no wallet prompts.

Playing Watchfire means a lot of small on-chain actions: chopping, gathering, building, raiding, defending. Confirming every one in your wallet gets old fast. A gas account fixes that.

What it is

A gas account is a small wallet your main wallet derives with a single signature, then authorizes on-chain as a session operator for your village. Once authorized, it signs the everyday game actions for you in the background, paying their gas from its own balance of the chain's native coin (RON on Ronin, ETH on Base). No popups.

The key is derived deterministically from your wallet's signature, so the same wallet re-derives the same account on any device. Nothing is stored on a server.

What it can and cannot do

The gas account acts for your village; it never owns anything.

  • It can only call the free game actions. It can never move your village NFT, your resources, your $FIRE, or your rewards.
  • Everything it earns is credited to your wallet, never the account.
  • Paid actions like stoking still go through your main wallet, with your approval already in place.
  • The only coin it holds is its own gas, and that only moves when you send it somewhere, revoke the account (it returns to your wallet), or rotate the key (it hands the gas to its successor).

Staying in control

You manage the gas account from the account menu in the game:

  • A gasless play switch turns it on or off at any time.
  • The account locks itself when idle; unlock it with a device PIN, a passkey, Face ID / Touch ID, or a wallet signature.
  • Revoke removes its on-chain authorization (a pause you can undo), and rotate the key retires the current key forever and authorizes a fresh one.

Lose the device? Your main wallet re-derives the same account anywhere with one signature. The gas account is a convenience, never a custodian.
