Watchfire
Under the hood

On-chain

Watchfire runs on Ronin and Base. The short version of what lives on-chain.

Watchfire is an on-chain game: your village, its resources, and the $FIRE economy all live on the chain your village calls home. You do not need any of this to play — it is here for the curious.

More than one chain

Watchfire runs on Ronin and Base. The same contracts are deployed on each chain, and each chain is a separate world with its own villages, $FIRE supply, and reward pool. Nothing bridges between them — a village and its earnings on one chain have nothing to do with the other. You choose a chain when you sign in, and you can keep a village on each.

The DEX differs per chain: $FIRE trades on Katana on Ronin and on Uniswap on Base, and the in-game buy screen uses the right one automatically.

What's on-chain

  • $FIRE — the game's token. See The $FIRE token.
  • Your village — an NFT that is soulbound (not tradable), one per wallet.
  • Wood and food — real on-chain resource tokens, soulbound for now, with room to become tradable later.
  • The game itself — an upgradeable contract, so Watchfire can grow and improve over time without you ever moving your village.

Everything is verifiable on-chain. Contract addresses are published with each deployment.
